Need Last Minute Christmas Ideas?

a

Need ideas for some Christmas gifts? I am always lookout for products that are not only awesome, but useful and can really make a difference. I think buying something just because others have it or for something that has limited use is a waste of money. Also if you give a gift (or buy it for yourself  ;-)) that lasts a long time, the recipient will always be grateful!

For convenience sake, I put links the amazon listing and pricing for more information. Also here are some great last minute ideas and Amazon is offering free one-day shipping!

Here are my top products that I have personally bought and used, with my reviews!

  •  The FitBit – For those of you health conscience types, this is a small device (you can either get the wristband or tracker) that tracks your steps, distance, stairs climbed, calories burned, and even your sleep habits. Best of all, it syncs through bluetooth with my phone and computer to track activity. You can set goals for yourself, and even use the phone app and web-based program to track what you eat, your scores, and activity trends. I have been using this for two years and have had three different iterations of the product. It gets better every time and the latest is the best yet. I don’t leave home without it!
  • There is also the fitbit weight scale called the aria, that syncs your weight and body fat percentage. These are great products that keep you accountable to help you get active, eat better, manage weight, and sleep better! Sometimes we need that little push. You can add friends and compete with them on your activity. Friends and family will thank you!

  • Beats Headphones – I like to listen to music, and having good quality headphones is a must. I have tried quite a few out and my favorites thus far are the Beats. The famous musician Dr. Dre  founded the company in 2008. He said that he wanted to create headphones where you could hear all of the music and listen just like a professional producer would. I bought the wireless headphones so I would have to deal with any cords. That was a huge win for me, I hate having to untangle cords just to listen to music. You can listen up to 30 feet away and the quality was the same just as if I had cords plugged in. You can use the buttons on the earcup to manage the controls. But if you need cords, they give one cord for music, and another one with a microphone so you can talk on the phone. It charges through a USB port and lasts about ten hours.

  • Keurig Coffee Single Serve Brewer – People love to drink coffee. This machine is awesome. You can automatically brew a cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage in just 60 seconds at the touch of a button. Don’t have to work hard at it and you can buy different flavors. Key thing is that it is easy to make and good!

  • My Favorite Books! – I am a reader, and sometimes reading a great book really opens your eyes to see things in ways you have never seen them. Since life is short, learning from other people can really give us a boost in our professional and personal lives. I believe that reading is one of the few ways that we can maximize our potential. Below are some of my favorite books. I credit each one with helping me improve how I think, what I do, who I am, and how I view my relationships at work and home. Take some time to read or even listen to audio books. Experience plus knowledge equals wisdom, so read on!

  • Audible.com – Given that there are so many great books to read, how do you find the time?  I am in traffic at least 2 hours a day if not more. Most audio books are around 8 hours so I go through at least one a week! For a monthly membership, you get a certain number of credits per month. You can listen on your phones (iphone, android, or mp3), tablets, or computer. There are books in every category and one cool feature is that you can sync with a book on Kindle. So if you listened to a book through audible, you can pick up where you left off and vice versa on your kindle!
  • Amazon Prime – Jeff Bezos has done wonders for Amazon, making it one of the biggest companies in the world. If you use Amazon regularly or even want to stream and watch movies like Netflix, then get Amazon Prime. The benefits are incredible. Benefits include FREE two-day shipping on eligible items, unlimited instant streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows (really giving Netflix a run for its money!), and over 350,000 Kindle titles to borrow for free. Best of all, it is only $79 a year! To be honest I don’t know how long they can keep the price this low. Since I live in Hawaii, the free shipping on a couple of items I purchased was already worth that! Click below for more information, get it for yourself and someone else!

  • Netflix.com – More and more people are getting rid of their cable and opting for streaming services like netflix and amazon prime. All you need is a computer, mobile device, TV hooked up to the internet to watch movies and TV shows. I like foreign films and Netflix has plenty, including the popular Korean dramas (K-drama). You can create profiles so different people have their movie tastes saved, so better recommendations can be made! Monthly fees are low, and you can opt to get physical DVDs sent to you as well.
  • Kindle – There are quite a few tablets that are out there, the ipad, android tablets, nook, and windows based tablets. I have used each one. They all have their benefits and cons. If you are looking for the biggest bang for your buck, this is it. The price is very reasonable and there is free two-day shipping if you have prime.
