Google’s brand and presence is literally at our fingertips everyday. Chances are Google is your go to search browser, providing you one of the most powerful search engines worldwide. While While most people are familiar with the most common Google tools, here are some others tools that Google provides.

Google Earth

One of the most popular Google tools apart from the search engine is Google Earth. Google Earth is one of those software programs where you could easily get lost in for hours. It renders a 3D representation of Earth based primarily on satellite imagery.

The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles. You can zoom into your house or anywhere else you like to see detailed images.

For example if you were to search these coordinates: 6°53’53.00″ S 31°11’15.40″ E we bet you would come across something pretty amazing!

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google and it has quickly become one of the top browsers since being released in 2008. If you have always used Internet Explorer and Firefox, you may be incredibly surprised by how fast Google Chrome will load and navigate in comparison.

One of the biggest benefits of Chrome is the synchronization across all your devices. Designed for Android, Chrome brings you personalized news articles, quick links to your favorite sites, downloads, and Google Search and Google Translate built-in. You can sign-in to any computer or mobile device and have all of your extensions, bookmarks and preferences synced immediately.

Gmail is a free email service developed by Google that is intuitive, efficient, and useful. Google email for business or home can help you set up an organized inbox which is customized to every one of your needs as a business or individually. It is easy to access either on your computer or your mobile device.

If you have a small business or personal website, Google Analytics is essential. Google Analytics is a tool which will allow you to track how many people visit your website, which pages they visit, and how long they stay. The tool helps you identify the pages and links your visitors click the most.

This information helps you segment your visitors and find out how your visitors found your website. This real-time data it provides will give you valuable insights that can help you to shape the success strategy of your business. Best of all, you can get all of these benefits free of charge!

Google Alerts

This is one of Google’s most overlooked tools. There is over 2.5 quintillion bytes (1 quintillion is one thousand quadrillions, which is one thousand trillions) of data are created every single day. With all of this new data being published daily, how do you keep track of industry trends, monitor any article that mentions you or your company, or even any topic of interest to you.

You can tell google to send you an email every time a new article, blog post, books, or video is published that has the key words you want to track. It is like putting out an APB (all-points bulletin) on the internet for important topics and words you want to track. You can choose to have it emailed it to you as-it-happens, daily, or weekly. You have the option to all choose if you want it all, or just the best choices.

Google Adwords

For a business, Google offers a lot of different tools which can be used for promotion and marketing. The most popular type of advertisement you can gain from Google is Adwords, and everyone uses this service to help promote a product or service now and again.

Google Adwords is an advertising system in which advertisers bid on certain keywords in order for their ads to appear in Google’s search results. Essentially this is how you can pay to be on the first page of Google Search. This is how Google makes their money. The price depends on the popularity and level of competition of the key word.

To utilize a Google Adwords ad, you will need to create a catchy tagline and a target audience. Think of the ways you can market your experience or product to your audience and which keywords they will likely search for when looking for you.

What is great about Google Adwords is that it has plenty of tutorials to help you and since it integrates with other Google products, it can help you choose the right keywords based upon the real-time data from Google Analytics. This is what makes Google so powerful!

YouTube is one of the best content creation tools out there for you to use for your business. You can create a YouTube channel to help you us reach new audience, grow your business and build your brand.

YouTube is where the world goes to watch videos, information, education, entertainment and much more. You have a willing audience that you can access. The key is to ensure that your material is relevant for people to watch.
